After sweeping the ODIs 3-0, Afghanistan whitewashed Zimbabwe 3-0 in the T20Is as well, with a 35-run win at the Harare Sports Club. In a low-scoring contest on a pitch that produced ample turn, Opting to bat, Afghanistan crawled to 125/8, but they restricted Zimbabwe to 90/9.
