B Sai Sudharsan, the talented cricketer from India and Tamil Nadu, has rejoined Surrey to participate in their upcoming County Championship matches against Lancashire and Nottinghamshire. Having previously represented Surrey in a County Championship game against Essex at the Kia Oval back in June, Sudharsan went on to make his T20I debut for India in Harare the following month.
This return to Surrey for the two upcoming County Championship fixtures will provide valuable preparation for Sudharsan as he gears up for the Duleep Trophy commencing on September 5 in Bengaluru and Anantapur. Notably, Sudharsan is placed in Team C for the Duleep Trophy, under the captaincy of Ruturaj Gaikwad, with his county commitments coming to a close after the away fixture at Trent Bridge on September 1.
Currently not part of the Tamil Nadu squads competing in the Buchi Babu tournament in Coimbatore and Salem, Sudharsan has a history of success with Surrey, having played a key role in their County Championship Division One triumph in September 2023 during his inaugural stint with the team.
Subsequently, his formidable performances continued as he represented Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024, emerging as the team's leading run-scorer with an impressive tally of 527 runs in 12 innings, boasting an average of 47.90 and a striking rate of 141.28.
Surrey, sitting at the summit of the Division One table, are on a quest to secure their third consecutive County Championship title, with Sudharsan's return adding further depth and skill to their squad as they pursue this prestigious feat.
