Afghanistan beat Bangladesh by eight wickets to level the two-match series at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. They chased down 116 in 17.4 overs, thanks to a half-century from Hazratullah Zazai.

Three-wicket hauls from Fazalhaq Farooqi and Azmatullah Omarzai restricted Bangladesh to 115/9. Munim Shahriar and Liton Das failed to provide Bangladesh with a decent start. Shahriar was dismissed by Mohammad Nabi in the second over, while Naim played 19 balls for his 13 before getting run out.

Das, too, struggled to break free before holing out to Sharafuddin Ashraf on 13. Mushfiqur Rahim, playing his first T20I since last year's ICC World Cup, top-scored with 30 to take Bangladesh to 115/9. The last five batters could only add 18 runs.

In response, Mahedi Hasan struck in his first over to get rid of Rahmanullah Gurbaz, but Zazai and Usman Ghani added 97 runs for the second wicket to take the game away. Ghani scored 47 in 48 balls, while Zazai remained unbeaten on 59 as Shakib Al Hasan leaked over 10 runs per over.
