On Day 1 at Chittagong, Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim steadied things for Bangladesh after the latter were reduced to 49/4. But an unbeaten 204-run stand between Liton Das (113*) and Mushfiqur Rahim (83*) helped them finish the day on 253/4.
Liton was reprieved on 66, when Sajid Khan was unable to grab his pull. There was a run-out opportunity for Pakistan when Liton was on 99. The fielder could not hit the stumps, and a full-bodied dive took him to his maiden Test hundred.
Earlier, Saif Hassan and Shadman Islam struck a flurry of boundaries before Saif holed out to Abid Ali off Shaheen Shah Afridi on 14. Shadman, too, departed soon on the same score.
The pitch has hardly offered anything to the pacers. Pakistan pacers need some early wickets on Day 2 to regain control of the proceedings. The new ball is just five overs old.
Betway Fantasy Tips
