The first match was a low-scoring thriller in Mirpur. Bangladesh managed to post 127/7 after opting to bat. They struggled to get going for most of the innings until Mahedi Hasan’s unbeaten 20-ball 30 helped them to a respectable total. Pakistan then reached the target in 19.2 overs, courtesy Shadab Khan’s unbeaten 10-ball 21 and Mohammad Nawaz’s unbeaten 8-ball 18.
