Sydney Thunder will take on Adelaide Strikers in the 51st match of the Big Bash League. On Sunday the first match will be played at Adelaide Oval. Sydney Thunder defeated Sydney Sixers in their last match to claim a thumping win. After being slightly out of touch for a few games, the Thunder are back. In-form Alex Hales will be a threat to the Strikers after a brilliant hundred last time out. The batting line-up having Cullum Ferguson, Sam Billings, and Ben Cutting is ready to give a time fight to the Strikers whereas Tanvir Sangha is expected to do well with the ball again. Adam Milne, Nathan McAndrew, Brendan Doggett forms a pretty good bowling unit.
Adelaide Strikers are coming off a win against Brisbane Heat as well. It was Alex Carey’s brilliant hundred that helped them knock out the Heat in their last fixture. They have two games remaining and both are against Sydney Thunder. The batting did well in the last match with Carey, Weatherald, Head, Phil Salt performing decently. They need to run the good show to challenge the Thunder. Adelaide Strikers have good bowling in with names like Wes Agar, Peter Siddle, Danny Briggs, Michael Neser, and Liam O Connor. The bowlers will have a huge task of stopping the batsmen of Sydney Thunder. However, they need support from the Strikers batsmen.

Sydney Sixers v Hobart Hurricanes
Preview
Table-toppers Sydney Sixers will face Hobart Hurricanes at Melbourne Cricket Ground in the 52nd match of the BBL on Sunday, 24th Jan. Both teams are coming off defeats and despite topping the chart, the Sixers are yet to confirm a top-four seat. The Sixers can boast of one of the most attacking batting line-ups in the BBL. Josh Philippe is a brilliant form and in the second position of the run-scorers list. There are James Vince, captain Daniel Hughes, and Jordan Silk apart from them in the side who consist of a strong line-up. Daniel Christian’s form is an advantage too although the bowling is the weak link here. Ben Dwarshuis, Steve O’Keefe and, Carlos Brathwaite are the names to look up to for a competitive bowling performance.
For Hobart Hurricanes, the tournament is yet not over. They still have a fair chance if they can do well. The Hurricanes have some key players but their inconsistency has been a problem. The side will try to overcome the issues and deliver at par to claim a much-needed win. Ben McDermott is the star for them with 397 runs. There are also solid players like Tim David, Dawid Malan, and captain Matthew Wade who have joined them after the completion of the Test series. D’Arcy Short is playing the all-rounder’s role with 244 runs and seven wickets. Nathan Ellis, Scott Boland, and Riley Meredith are their three highest wicket-takers this season and should be continuing with the good form.
