Team News
Sydney Sixers had a record win in the previous match when they beat the Melbourne Renegades by a massive margin of 145 runs. Their innings was built on Josh Philippe’s 95 at the top, supported by the quick-fire 45 off 19 balls by Jordan Silk. Ben Dwarshuis (4/13) and Steve O’Keefe (3/16) was also in top form and shared seven wickets to rout the Renegades. The Sixers have also welcomed the West Indies captain Jason Holder in their ranks although he may not immediately start.
Adelaide Strikers are also boosted by the return of Harry Conway and Liam Scott. These two inclusions will help their low-middle order batting and the pace bowling strength. They will also expect Peter Siddle to carry on his good form after a five-wicket haul in the last match. Jake Weatherald and Alex Carey scored half-centuries in their previous match and expected to continue their good form.

Key Players
Josh Philippe (Sydney Sixers)
Although Josh Philippe did not play regularly in the IPL 2020 for Royal Challengers Bangalore, he made his mark in the limited chances he got during the UAE based tournament. In the BBL he is one of the biggest strengths in the Sixers lineup and expected to provide a good start during the powerplay. He already showed how destructive he can be in his own days and should continue this form in the matches to come.
Peter Siddle (Adelaide Strikers)
The Strikers can boast of a strong bowling attack which was displayed when they bowled out the Hobert Hurricanes for just 146 runs. 36 years old Peter Siddle is their most experienced bowler and looks like he found a new intensity in his bowling. In the 16th year of his professional career, Siddle still shows the ability to trouble the batsman and currently is in the third position in the Wickets table despite playing only two matches.
