Two-time defending champions Sydney Sixers will face Perth Scorchers on 28 January, in the final of Big Bash League (BBL) 2021/22 at Docklands Stadium in Melbourne. The two teams had met in the last edition’s final as well, where the Sixers beat the Scorchers by 27 runs.
The Sixers lost the Qualifier against the Scorchers by 48 runs in their last meeting. They were bowled out for 141 after being set 190. However, following a four-wicket win against Adelaide Strikers in the Knockout less than two days ago, they entered the BBL final for the third time on the trot.
