The BCCI added 10 players to the auction register on the eve of the IPL 2022 mega auction, taking the total count on the list to 600. The new entries are Aaron Hardie, Nivethan Radhakrishnan, Lance Morris, Agnivesh Ayachi, Hardik Tamore, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Mihir Hirwani, Monu Kumar, Rohan Rana, and Sairaj Patil.
Morris, Hardie and Radhakrishnan are from Australia, while the others are from India. Reddy is an Under-19 player who was sent as a replacement to the West Indies for the recently concluded World Cup.
The information about the 10 added players was first relayed to the IPL franchises at the ritual auction eve meeting on 11 February. Although the franchises were not given names of the players, they were informed about the new additions.
The BCCI also told the franchises that no one withdrew from the auction at the eleventh hour. The size of the registered player list, thus, remains 600.
