Ravindra Jadeja, a star India all-rounder, was promoted to A+ Grade in the BCCI's annual player contracts for the men's team for the 2022-23 season on Sunday, joining Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah in the highest category.
Aside from Jadeja, other all-rounders Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya were promoted from Grade B to Grade A, while KL Rahul was demoted from A to B.
Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav, on the other hand, have been promoted to Grade B from C, according to a BCCI media release.
Pacer Shardul Thakur was demoted to Grade C, while Kuldeep Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Deepak Hooda, Kuldeep Yadav, Washington Sundar, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, and KS Bharat were all signed recently.
Veterans Ajinkya Rahane and Ishant Sharma were not given contracts, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mayank Agarwal, Hanuma Vihari, Wriddhiman Saha, and Deepak Chahar were all dropped from the list.
The BCCI's contract list is divided into four categories, with 'A+' players earning INR 7 crore, 'A' players earning INR 5 crore, 'B' players earning INR 3 crore, and 'C' players earning INR 1 crore.
