Perth Scorchers beat Sydney Sixers by 10 runs at Carrara Oval in Queensland. With this, their eighth win of the season, they are now six points clear of the second-placed Sydney Sixers. They scored 143 and restricted the Sixers to 133/8.
The Scorchers lost Cameron Bancroft in the third over. Kurtis Patterson and Colin Munro then added 47 for the second wicket. Munro, however, was sluggish, taking 36 balls for his 27. Dan Christian dismissed Patterson for 27 in the 11th over.
A 24-ball 45 from Aaron Hardie propelled the Scorchers to a fighting total. Hayden Kerr picked up four wickets, while Christian took two.
The Sixers got off to a poor start, losing four wickets for just 16 runs as Tymal Mills and Lance Morris picked two wickets apiece. Christian scored 73 in 61 balls, but the Sixers could only manage 133/8. Mills and Andrew Tye picked up three wickets apiece.
