Saint Lucia Kings vs Barbados Royals

Brief scores: St Lucia Kings 175/6 in 20 overs (Faf du Plessis 84; Mohammad Amir 2-31) beat Barbados Royals 155/8 in 19 overs (Jason Holder 34; David Wiese 5-25) by 14 runs (DLS method). Player of the Match: David Wiese

A blistering half-century from Faf du Plessis, coupled with breezy cameos from Tim David and Keemo Paul, drove Saint Lucia Kings to a 14-run victory in a rain-marred match. The Kings posted 175/6 in 20 overs. But the Royals needed 170 in 19 overs after an over was lost to rain. They could only muster 155/8.

The Kings got off to a shambolic start. Andre Fletcher was undone on the second ball of the match, and Mark Deyal's dismissal, an over later, reduced them to 15/2. Both wickets were claimed by Mohammad Amir. It was a rare bad day for Roston Chase, who got out for a seven-ball duck.

Du Plessis held his nerves, smashing 84 off 54 deliveries. David responded with 23-ball 34, and Paul made 22 off 11, with the help of two sixes.

The Royals lost Kyle Mayers early in the innings. Then Jhonson Charles (30) and Shai Hope (31) added 64 runs for the second wicket. They were very much in the game when Hope and Charles were on the crease. But David Wiese struck thrice in the ninth over, removing both of them and Glenn Phillips, to derail the chase.

Wiese took two more wickets to finish with match figures of 4-0-25-5. Jason Holder (34) tried to revive the chase but in vain.

Jamaica Tallawahs vs Guyana Amazon Warriors

Brief scores: Guyana Amazon Warriors 169/6 in 20 overs (Nicholas Pooran 75*; Andre Russell 2-35) beat Jamaica Tallawahs 123 in 19.1 overs (Kirk Mckenzie 28; Odean Smith 3-21) by 46 runs. Player of the Match: Nicholas Pooran

An unbeaten 75 from Nicholas Pooran helped Guyana Amazon Warriors crush Jamaica Tallawahs by 46-run on Saturday, 12 September. The Warriors are now at third in the points table. The Tallawahs could only manage 123 in 19.1 overs while chasing a target of 170.

Pooran smashed seven sixes and four fours en-route his 39-ball 75*. Shimron Hetmyer and Shoaib Malik added 23 each but the latter's came at a sluggish pace.

Gudakesh Motie and Odean Smith picked three wickets each to push the opponents in a spot of bother. Barring Kirk McKenzie (28) and Shamarh Brooks (21), none of the Jamiacan batters could cross the 20-run mark.

Trinbago Knight Riders vs St Kitts and Nevis Patriots

Brief Scores: Trinbago Knight Riders 159/7 in 20 overs (Colin Munro 47; Jon-Russ Jaggesar 3-32) lost to St Kitts & Nevis Patriots 160/2 in 14.4 overs (Evin Lewis 102*; Kieron Pollard 1-20) by eight wickets. Player of the Match: Evin Lewis.

A century from Evin Lewis, and a blitz from Chris Gayle, helped St Kitts & Nevis Patriots mow down a total of 160 runs in just 14.4 overs. The Patriots have climbed to the top of the points table with this victory.

Lewis struck an unbeaten 102 off 52 deliveries, laced with eleven sixes and five fours. Chris Gayle, who came to open the innings, also contributed with an 18-ball 35. Ali Khan leaked 54 runs from his three overs.

Earlier, Colin Munro smashed 47 off 34 deliveries before Sunil Narine's cameo propelled the Knight Riders to a fighting total. Narine hit four sixes for his 18-ball 33. For the Patriots, Dominic Drakes and Jon-Russ Jaggesar picked three wickets apiece.
