Saint Lucia Kings v St Kitts and Nevis Patriots

Saint Lucia Kings 224/2 in 20 overs (du Plessis 120*; Fawad 1-23) beat St Kitts and Nevis Patriots 124 in 16.5 overs (Lewis 73; Paul 3-23) by 100 runs. Player of the Match: Faf du Plessis.

Saint Lucia Kings registered a thumping 100-run win over St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in Match 15 of the CPL 2021 at Warner Park. It was first loss for St Kitts and Nevis this season after they won their first five matches.

Saint Lucia rode on an unbroken 124-run third-wicket stand between Faf du Plessis and Roston Chase to pile 224/2 after they were asked to bat. While du Plessis reached his maiden hundred of the season in 51 balls, and finished on 120 not out in 60 balls, Chase struck seven fours and three sixes in his unbeaten 31-ball 64.

Alzarri Joseph (3-27) and Keemo Paul (3-23) then ran through St Kitts and Nevis to wrap them up for 124 in 16.5 overs. Evin Lewis made a valiant 42-ball 73, but hardly received any support from his teammates.

Guyana Amazon Warriors v Barbados Royals

Barbados Royals 130 in 20 overs (Azam 28; Tahir 3-34) lost to Guyana Amazon Warriors 136/1 in 14.2 overs (Hemraj 105*; Young 1-32) by 9 wickets with 34 balls to spare. Player of the Match: Chandrapaul Hemraj.

Chandrapaul Hemraj’s unbeaten 56-ball 105 propelled Guyana Amazon Warriors to a nine-wicket win over Barbados Royals in Match 16 of the CPL 2021.

The Barbados batters struggled to get going after opting to bat. Shai Hope, Johnson Charles, Azam Khan, and Raymon Reifer got starts, but all failed to convert them into anything substantial. They were bowled out for 130 on the last ball of the innings. With 3-34, Imran Tahir did the most damage for Guyana.

Coming to the chase, Brandon King played second fiddle, contributing with 19 in a 103-run opening-wicket stand. At the other end, Hemraj smashed 14 fours and five sixes to almost single-handedly took Guyana past the finishing line with 34 balls to spare. Shoaib Malik remained unbeaten at the other end, on nine.
