St Kitts and Nevis Patriots 118 in 19.3 overs (Allen 34; Royal 3-20) lost to Saint Lucia Kings 121/4 in 15.4 overs (Chase 51*; Allen 2-30) by 6 wickets with 26 balls to spare. Player of the Match: Roston Chase.

Saint Lucia Kings completed two wins against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots on successive days. The second was a six-wicket victory in Match 17 of the season at Warner Park.

Opting to bat, Fabian Allen (34) and Devon Thomas (28) were the only St Kitts and Nevis batters who scored in excess of 20. They were bowled out for 118 in 19.3 overs. Jeavor Royal returned excellent figures of 4-0-20-3. Samit Patel (2-15) and Wahab Riaz (1-17) were impressive as well.

Allen then trapped Andre Fletcher leg before with the first ball of the Saint Lucia innings. Faf du Plessis, who made 120 not out less than 24 hours ago against the same opponents, did not last long this time. But the in-form Roston Chase showed composure, and stayed not out on 51 to take his side home with 26 balls to spare.

Trinbago Knight Riders v Jamaica Tallawahs

Jamaica Tallawahs 144/7 in 20 overs (Brathwaite 58; Hosein 2-12) lost to Trinbago Knight Riders 145/3 in 17.1 overs (Simmons 70; Imad 2-19) by 7 wickets with 17 balls to spare. Player of the Match: Lendl Simmons.

Trinbago Knight Riders beat Jamaica Tallawahs by sevens wickets in Match 18 of the CPL 2021 in St Kitts.

Jamaica’s top five – Kennar Lewis, Kirk McKenzie, Haider Ali, Rovman Powell, Jason Mohammed – all fell to score more than five after they were asked to bat. They were 15/5 after the Powerplay overs.

Imad Wasim (42) and Carlos Brathwaite (58) revived the innings from there. They added 83 for the sixth wicket to steady the ship before Andre Russell’s 8-ball 20 not out took them to 144/7. Akeal Hosein and Ravi Rampaul picked up two wickets each.

Trinbago lost Sunil Narine early, but Lendl Simmons (70) and Colin Munro (34) added 102 in 72 balls to keep the chase under control. Darren Bravo and Kieron Pollard then reached the target with 17 balls to spare.
