Sussex 181 (Coles 36; Singh 4-51) and 332/4 decl. (Orr 119; Quinn 3-118) drew with Kent 165 (Podmore 37; Atkins 5-51) and 275/7 (Finch 115; Carson 3-87).
Harry Finch made a century on Kent debut against his old side Sussex as the County Championship fixture ended in a draw. Finch scored 115 to guide Kent reach 275/7 after they were set 349. He was assisted by Dan Lincoln (41) and Harry Podmore (36*). Jack Carson returned 3-87 and Sean Hunt 2-48.
Earlier, Sussex had resumed on 277/3 and declared on 332/4, Ali Orr top-scoring with 119. Matthew Quinn claimed 3-118 and Jaskaran Singh 1-32.
Yorkshire v Lancashire, Headingley
Lancashire 411/2 (Jennings 132; Thompson 2-76) vs Yorkshire
The Roses match between Yorkshire and Lancashire was abandoned before the start of the final day’s play due to an unsafe outfield.
Glamorgan v Northamptonshire, Cardiff
Northamptonshire 215 (Zaib 50; Salter 4-18) and 250/5 (Keogh 71*; Neser 3-52) drew with Glamorgan 462/4 decl. (Carlson 170*; Procter 3-77).
Northamptonshire needed 247 to save the innings defeat against Glamorgan at Cardiff. They batted through the final day to finish on 250/5. Earlier, Glamorgan declared on their overnight 462/4.
Rob Keogh (71*) and Harry Gouldstone (67*) held their nerves after Northants lost five wickets. They were left two players down before the day after Luke Procter left the game due to family commitments and Gareth Berg injured an ankle. Michael Neser was pick of the Glamorgan bowlers, with 3-52.
