Gloucestershire put up a commanding display with both bat and ball to outmuscle Northamptonshire in Division 1 of County Championship 2021. Northamptonshire had an upper edge in the match after Gloucestershire had collapsed in their first innings to concede a lead of 228 by stumps on Day 2.
But Miles Hammond (94) led a remarkable turnaround. With a little help from Tom Lace (63*) and Graeme van Buuren (53), Gloucestershire chased down 267 on the last day of the game.
Earlier in the day, Northamptonshire resumed the proceedings on 92/7. They were bowled out for 129, largely due to Ryan Higgins (5-46).
