Worcestershire v Sussex, New Road

Sussex 264 (Carson 87*; Leach 5-67) and 263 (Ibrahim 94; Leach 4-68) lost to Worcestershire 213 (Haynes 47; Crocombe 3-44) and 315/4 (Libb 125*; Crocombe 2-39) by 6 wickets.

Jake Libby’s unbeaten 125 helped Worcestershire beat Sussex by six wickets at New Road.

Sussex resumed Day 4 on 199/6, and Danial Ibrahim hit a career-best 94 to take them to 263. Joe Leach returned 4-68 and Josh Baker 3-49.

Chasing 315 in 78 overs, Worcestershire were reduced to 49/2 by lunch. Libby then struck eight fours and one six to take his side home with 3.4 overs to spare. He was supported by Jack Haynes (62), Ben Cox (37), and Brett D’Oliveira (56* in 31) to make this happen.

Middlesex v Derbyshire, Lord’s

Middlesex 282 (White 120; Conners 3-65) and 256 (Robson 52; Thomson 3-71) beat Derbyshire 205 (du Plooy 90; Bamber 5-41) and 221 (Godleman 70; Roland-Jones 5-36) by 112 runs.

Toby Roland-Jones returned 5-36 to help Middlesex secure a comfortable 112-run win over Derbyshire at Lord’s.

Derbyshire began Day 4 on 42/1, and needed another 292 to win the contest. But apart from Billy Godleman (70) and Matthew Critchley (58), no batter scored in excess of 20 before they were bowled out for 221 in 81.2 overs. Tim Murtagh finished with 3-48.
