Nottinghamshire v Derbyshire, Trent Bridge
Derbyshire 149 (du Plooy 30; Fletcher 3-36) trail Nottinghamshire 256/7 (Duckett 68*; Hudson-Prentice 4-50) by 107 runs.
Nottinghamshire took a 97-run first-innings lead against bottom-placed Derbyshire on Day 2 at Trent Bridge. Derbyshire had resumed at 91/5, but managed to add only 58 as they were bowled out for 149. Leus du Plooy and FJ Hudson-Prentice scored 30 each. All five Nottinghamshire bowlers were among the wickets.
Coming to bat, Notts lost both Ben Slater (7) and Ben Compton early to Hudson-Prentice (4-50). Steven Mullaney (42) and Haseeb Hameed (57) then added 78 runs for the third wicket to steady the ship. However, Michael Cohen’s (2-43) double strike reduced Notts to 183/6. Ben Duckett (68*) then took his side to close Day 2 on 256/7.
Warwickshire v Durham, Edgbaston
Warwickshire 237 (Yates 102; Raine 3-51) lead Durham 20/1 (Jones 8; Miles 1-8) by 217 runs.
Rob Yates (102) notched up a crucial hundred to help Warwickshire post 237 on Day 2 against Durham at Edgbaston. Yates was ably supported by Pieter Malan (31), Sam Hain (30) and Will Rhodes (39). No other Warwickshire batter scored more than 11. Ben Stokes returned 3-55 and Ben Raine 3-51, while Chris Rushworth (2-35) took two wickets.
In reply, Michael Jones (8) fell early to Craig Miles (1-8). Durham then batted for seven overs before the close of play. They finished at 20/1, trailing by 217 runs in the first innings.
