Durham vs Worcestershire, Chester-le-Street

Centuries from Will Young (103) and Jack Burnham (102) helped Durham declare on 389/5. Coming at No. 6, Ned Eckersley smashed six fours and six sixes in his 57-ball 86. Eckersley went to 50 from 86 in just seven balls before being caught by Charlie Morris at deep point. Morris and Josh Tongue claimed two wickets apiece and skipper Joe Leach had one.
Chasing 423, Worcestershire openers Daryl Mitchell (45*) and Jake Libby (14*) left unharmed at Day 3 stumps. The pair added 60 runs in 14 overs. They need another 363.
Essex v Derbyshire, Chelmsford
Essex 412/3 decl. (Lawrence 152*, Westley 106; Stanlake 2-91) lead Derbyshire 146 (Guest 49; Harmer 9-80) and 97/1 (Guest 57*; Porter 1-25) by 169 runs
Simon Harmer returned career-best figures of 9-80 for Essex to bundle Derbyshire out for 146 on the rain-interrupted third day. Dan Lawrence claimed the other wicket to prevent Harmer’s ten-for. Brooke Guest top-scored for Derbyshire with 49, before being caught to Ryan ten Doeschate.
Essex skipper Tom Westley then enforced the follow-on. Billy Godleman and Guest took Derbyshire to 97/1 at stumps. The pair shared an unbroken 83-run stand for the second wicket after Luis Reece fell early, for nought.
