Nottinghamshire defeated Derbyshire inside three days, which meant only two teams were in action in Group 1 of the County Championship on Wednesday, 7 July.
Warwickshire v Durham, Edgbaston
Warwickshire 237 (Yates 102, Raine 3-51) drew with Durham 253/7 (Bedingham 92*, Miles 5-62)
Only 28 overs of the play was possible on Day 4 as Warwickshire and Durham settled for a draw. Both teams took 11 points from the game and kept their hope of qualifying for the next round afloat. Durham lost two points for slow over rate.
Ned Eckersley frustrated the Warwickshire attack with a gritty 27 before falling to Robert Yates. David Bedingham, meanwhile, carried on from where he left the last day. He held the fort from one end, remaining unbeaten on 92 before rain interrupted the proceedings. They were on 253/7 at that point.
Craig Miles completed his five-for by dismissing Jack Burnham. With 123 points in nine games, Warwickshire is placed at No. 2 in the points table. Durham is in fourth place.
