Sussex vs Kent, Hove
Kent 145 (Leaning 63; Robinson 3-29) and 138/2 (Crawley 61*; Archer 1-14) lead Sussex 256 (van Zyl 52; Quinn 4-54) by 27 runs
Zak Crawley's unbeaten 61 has brought Kent back into the game after they were bowled out for just 145 in the first innings. Jack Leaning, who scored a fifty in the first innings, is batting on 18 as Kent finished the day on 138/2.
Earlier in the day, Sussex managed 256 in the first innings. Tom Clark (42) threw away a good start, getting bowled to Nathan Gilchrist. Stiaan van Zyl top-scored with 52 before getting out to Gilchrist, who picked up three wickets. Matthew Quinn then mopped up the tail, picking the last four wickets.
Glamorgan vs Yorkshire, Cardiff
Glamorgan 149 (Lloyd 31; Brook 3-15) lead Yorkshire 69/4 (Root 34*; Neser 3-15) by 80 runs
Fourteen wickets fell on Day 2 of the match between Glamorgan and Yorkshire after no play was possible on Day 1 due to rain. Steven Patterson and Harry Brook shared six wickets to dismiss Glamorgan for 149.
David Lloyd’s 31 was the top score, while Michael Neser and Andrew Salter chipped in with handy contributions down the order.
In reply, Glamorgan lost four wickets for 69 runs, with Joe Root and Dom Bess at the crease. Neser picked up three wickets.
