Sussex vs Kent, Hove
Kent 145 (Leaning 63; Robinson 3-29) and 220/3 (Crawley 85, Leaning 61*; Archer 1-14) and 138/2 (Crawley 61*; Archer 1-14) lead Sussex 256 (van Zyl 52; Quinn 4-54) by 109 runs
Zak Crawley (85) and Jack Leaning (61*) helped Kent reach 220/3 against Sussex at stumps on Day 3. Crawley and Leaning have added 130 runs for the third wicket.
Only 24 overs were being bowled on the third day of this rain-infected contest. Jofra Archer has not bowled a single delivery in the second innings due to a sore elbow and is unlikely to be in action on the final day.
Jack Carson (1-20) picked up the only wicket of the day, when Crawley’s attempted reverse sweep tumbled to Aaron Thomason at short leg. Leaning and Ollie Robinson (11*) are will resume on the final day.
Glamorgan vs Yorkshire, Cardiff
Glamorgan 149 (Lloyd 31; Brook 3-15) and 108/3 (Carlson 44*; Coad 1-9) lead Yorkshire 230 (Root 99; Neser 5-39) by 29 runs
Joe Root (99) and skipper Steven Patterson (47*) carried Yorkshire from 116/8 to 230 against Glamorgan on the third day at Cardiff. The pair added 113 runs for the ninth wicket before Root got an inside edge, off Dan Douthwaite.
Michael Neser finished at 5-39, while Michael Hogan and Douthwaite have had two to their names.
Trailing by 81, Glamorgan were 43/3 after Joe Cook (6), Marnus Labuschagne (0) and Billy Root (14) fell early. From there, David Lloyd (40*) and Kiran Carson (44*) steadied the ship and remained till Day 3 stumps.
