Group 1: Essex climb to the top
Centuries from Tom Westley and Dan Lawrence on Day 2 put Essex on the driving seat against Derbyshire. Simon Harmer then claimed 9-80 and 3-122 to orchestrate an innings win. The victory helped Essex jumped to the top spot, while Derbyshire languish at the bottom.
In another fixture, Durham thrashed Worcestershire by 258 runs to draw level with Nottinghamshire in the points tally.

Group 2: Hampshire closes gap with Somerset
Hampshire registered a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over Middlesex to earn 20 points and close the gap with the top two teams. This was their third win of the season. With four wins and a defeat, Gloucestershire proudly occupy the top spot. Surrey, on the other hand, remain at fourth place after only 68 overs of play was possible in their match against Somerset.

Group 3: Yorkshire leads, Kent at bottom
Jack Leaning’s century ensured a draw for Kent after they got bowled out for 145 in the first innings against Sussex. Kent are yet to taste victory in the campaign, while Sussex have one from six attempts. The match between Glamorgan and Yorkshire too ended in a draw. Yorkshire are positioned second in the table, just below traditional rival Lancashire.
