Ben Slater’s unbeaten 79 helped Nottinghamshire beat Yorkshire by five wickets at Trent Bridge. Chasing 174, Nottinghamshire had resumed the final day on 42/1. Slater and Ben Duckett (54) then guided them home in 48 overs.
Warwickshire v Somerset, Edgbaston
Warwickshire 367 (Hain 83; Overton 5-48) and 294/3 decl. (Yates 132*; Davey 1-55) beat Somerset 389 (Gregory 68; Bresnan 3-35) and 154 (Goldsworthy 31; Miles 3-26) by 118 runs.
Warwickshire won the County Championship 2021 title after beating Somerset by 118 runs at Edgbaston. They resumed the day on 179/1 in the second innings, and declared at 294/3, with Robert Yates top-scoring with 132 not out.
Somerset needed 273 to win in 79 overs, but they were bundled out for 154 in 48 overs, courtesy Chris Woakes’ 3-39 and Craig Miles’ 3-26.

Surrey v Glamorgan, The Oval

Ollie Pope struck a career-best 274 to help Surrey pile up 722/4 against Glamorgan at The Oval. Hashim Amla scored 163. Between them, they ensure the match ended in a draw after Glamorgan’s 672/6. Only 10 wickets fell in the match, and all of them were taken by spinners.

Kent v Middlesex, Canterbury
Middlesex 147 (Stoneman 59; Stevens 4-21) and 363 (Stoneman 109; Milnes 5-87) lost to Kent 138 (Muyeye 30; Bamber 3-36) and 375/8 (Robinson 112; Murtagh 2-45) by 2 wickets.
Kent beat Middlesex by two wickets at Canterbury, and win the County Championship Division Three title. They were chasing 373, and had to score another 98 on the final day, with five wickets in hand. Marcus O’Riordan (26) and Grant Stewart (37*) chipped in with useful contributions to reach the target with the loss of three more wickets.
