Division 1

Lancashire v Hampshire, Liverpool

Hampshire 143 (Crane 25; Parkinson 3-9) and 158/7 (Vince 69; Bailey 5-19) lead Lancashire 141 (Croft 40; Abbas 5-48) by 160 runs.

Lancashire resumed the day on 25/3, and lost the next two wickets for just two runs. Keith Barker then struck twice more, removing Dane Vilas and Danny Lamb, to reduce them to 47/7. But Steven Croft rose up to the occasion, scoring 40 in 56 balls. Croft was helped by Luke Wood (37) and Tom Bailey (23), as Lancashire posted 141 in the first innings. 

Hampshire then did not have a great start. Bailey got Ian Holland and Mason Crane in his first two overs. Two more wickets fell in quick succession, and they were reduced to 24/4. Joe Weatherly (33) and James Vince (69) then steadied things. They finished the day on 158/7 and currently lead by 160 runs.

Nottinghamshire v Yorkshire, Trent Bridge

Nottinghamshire 292 (Clarke 109; Coad 3-71) lead Yorkshire 73 (Thompson 16; Evison 4-13) and 169/3 (Lyth 74*; Paterson 1-20) by 54 runs

Nottinghamshire were bowled out for 292 in the first innings. Joey Evison and Luke Fletcher then shared seven wickets to bowl out Yorkshire for just 73. Nottinghamshire enforced a follow-on. Yorkshire showed some composure this time, as they walked into the day on 169/3. They still trail by 54 runs, and Adam Lyth is batting on 74.

Warwickshire v Somerset, Edgbaston

Warwickshire 367 (Hain 83; Overton 5-48) lead Somerset 239/5 (Azhar 60; Briggs 2-39) by 128 runs.

Warwickshire were bowled out for 367 in the first innings. Sam Hain couldn't add anything to his overnight tally of 83. Danny Briggs scored a quickfire 51. Craig Overton picked five wickets. In reply, Somerset made 239/5 by stumps on Day 2. They still trail by 128 runs. Azhar Ali scored 60, and Steven Davies is currently batting on 48

Division 2

Essex vs Northamptonshire, Chelmsford

Northampton 81 (Gay 38; S Cook 5-21) and 45 (Procter 24; S Cook 5-20) lost to Essex 170 (Wheater 34; White 4-40) by an innings and 44 runs.

It took Essex half an hour to wrap up the proceedings on Day 2. They dismissed the last five wickets for 22 runs to skittle out Northamptonshire for just 45 and win by an innings and 44 runs. Sam Cook finished with 5-21 (10-41 in the match) and Shane Snater picked up four wickets.

Gloucestershire v Durham, Bristol

Durham 140 (Lees 40; Gohar 5-50) and 131 (Raine 38; Gohar 6-51) lost to Gloucestershire 218 (Van Buuren 62; Trevaskis 5-78) and 54/3 (Dent 22; Rushworth 2-26) by 7 wickets.

On an eventful day in Bristol, Gloucestershire registered a seven-wicket victory over Durham. Gloucestershire were wrapped up for 218, but Zafar Gohar then ran through Durham, picking up 6-51, to skittle them out for 131. Gloucestershire chased down 54 runs with seven wickets in hand.

Surrey v Glamorgan, The Oval

Glamorgan 672/6 (Cooke 205; Virdi 3-141) lead Surrey 45/0 (Smith 23) by 627 runs.

Glamorgan are in complete control of the contest after declaring their innings on 672. Chris Cooke scored 205 in 299 balls, and was ably assisted by Daniel Douthwaite (59). Surrey will have a mountain to climb when they start Day 3 on 45/0.

Division 3

Kent v Middlesex, Canterbury

Middlesex 147 (Stoneman 59; Stevens 4-21) and 298/6 (Stoneman 109; Bell-Drummond 3-37) lead Kent 82/4 (Leaning 27; Murtagh 2-19) by 307 runs.

A century from Mark Stoneman lifted Middlesex to 298/6 by the stumps on Day 2. They have a firm grip in the contest, as the lead has inflated to 307 runs. Daniel Bell-Drummond picked three wickets. Earlier, Kent were skittled out for 138 in the first innings, thanks to a three-wicket haul from both Ethan Bamber and Martin Andersson.

Sussex v Derbyshire, Hove

Derbyshire 465 (Madsen 111; Crocombe 4-92) lead Sussex 255/6 (Brown 150*; Melton 3-47) by 210 runs.

Resuming the day on 371/5, Derbyshire added 94 runs before being bowled out for 465. Anuj Dal remained unbeaten on 45. Henry Crocombe and Jamie Atkins finished with four wickets each. An unbeaten 150 from Ben Brown has kept Sussex in the game. Sussex will resume on 255/6 on Day 3, with a deficit of 210.

Worcestershire v Leicestershire, New Road

Leicestershire 222 (Kimber 71; Leach 3-38) trail Worcestershire 378/6 (Libby 76; Parkinson 3-68) by 156 runs.

A second-wicket partnership worth 125 runs between Jake Libby (76) and Charlie Morris (50) has put Worcestershire in the driving seat. They walked into the day 378/6. The lead is worth 156 runs now. Ben Cox is batting on 50 and Ed Barnard on 44.
