Trinbago Knight Riders vs Guyana Amazon Warriors
Trinbago Knight Riders 138/9 (Munro 32; Hafeez 3-18) and 4/1 lost to Guyana Amazon Warriors 138/9 (Pooran 27; Rampaul 4-18) and 6/1 in One-Over Eliminator by 2 runs. Player of the Match: Romario Shepherd
Guyana Amazon Warriors did well to avoid their third successive defeat by defending six runs in Super Over against Trinbago Knight Riders. The Warriors have won two matches, both against the Knight Riders.
The Knight Riders again failed to get going, and could only manage 138/9. Their opening pair of Sunil Narine and Lendl Simmons has not quite worked this season. Simmons fell for a golden duck, while Narine's scored 21 off 20 before being undone by Mohammad Hafeez.
Tion Webster started ahead of Darren Bravo, and he looked good, smashing 19 off 14 before being bowled by Hafeez. Colin Munro’s 32 was the highest score of the innings. Kieron Pollard had a rare off day with the bat, as he played 17 balls for his 13. A late surge from Isuru Udana (21) helped them reach 138.
The Warriors’ ploy of sending Odean Smith has been more misses than hits. He walked back without opening his account. Hafeez looked rusty, scoring 16 at a strike rate of 53.
A quickfire 27 from Nicholas Pooran took them closer to the target. With seven needed off the last over, Naveen-ul-Haq smashed a four, and took a single on the next ball. But Imran Tahir’s run-out on the last ball took the game to Super Over. Romario Shepherd did well to defend six runs to hand third defeat to the Knight Riders.

St Kitts & Nevis Patriots registered their fourth win on the trot. They chased down 167 against Jamaica Tallawahs with six wickets remaining as Sherfane Rutherford notched his third half-century of the season. He scored an unbeaten 50 off 26 before Evin Lewis set the foundation with his 27-ball 39.
