CPL 2021, Guyana Amazon Warriors vs St Kitts & Nevis Patriots: Preview, fantasy tips, probable XIs Image

The second semi-final of the Caribbean Premier League 2021 will see Guyana Amazon Warriors taking on St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, on Wednesday, 15 September. The Amazon Warriors finished second in the points table, followed by the Patriots.

Guyana will be heading into this contest off a 14-run victory over Jamaica Tallawahs. In that rain-affected clash, reduced to 18 overs a side, they posted a total of 142/7. They lost five wickets for just 53 runs before Romario Shepherd bailed them out with his 31-ball 72.

The opening pair of Brandon King and Chandrapaul Hemraj needs to get them off a decent start. Shoaib Malik is having an ordinary tournament. Shimron Hetmyer started well but hasn't played any substantial knocks in the second half of the tournament.

The Patriots, meanwhile, lost their last game of the league stage to Trinbago Knight Riders by four wickets. Joshua Da Silva scored 50 off 45 balls before a quickfire 25 from Dwayne Bravo propelled them to 147/7 in 20 overs. Da Silva has been one of their consistent players, but he needs to score quickly.

Their bowing has been quite inconsistent. Jon-Russ Jaggesar leaked 64 runs from four overs. Dominic Drakes and Naseem Shah will lead the fast bowling attack, and Fawad Ahmed will be the main spinner of the side.
