All six franchises have confirmed their pre-draft retentions and acquisition of local talents ahead of the 2022 edition of the Caribbean Premier League. Each team was allowed to retain five Caribbean players and sign two more additional players from the available talent pool in the second pre-draft window.
Defending champions St Kitts & Nevis Patriots retained their core group of Dwayne Bravo, Sheldon Cottrell, Sherfane Rutherford, Dominic Drakes, and Evin Lewis.
Shimron Hetmyer, Odean Smith, Romario Shepherd, and Chandrapaul Hemraj will continue to play for Guyana Amazon Warriors.
Jamaica Tallawahs, meanwhile, decided to retain only three players from the last season – Rovman Powell, Kennar Lewis, and Shamarh Brooks.
