New Zealand beat England by eight wickets in the second Test match, at Edgbaston, to claim the series 1-0. This was the first time since 2014 that England lost a Test series at home.

Resuming Day 4 at 122/9, England lost their last wicket to the first ball of the day, when Olly Stone edged Trent Boult into Tom Blundell’s gloves.
New Zealand needed 38 to win. They did inside 11 overs with eight wickets in hand. Tom Latham remained unbeaten at 23. Matt Henry was adjudged Player of the Match for his 6-124, while Devon Conway and Rory Burns were named Player of the Series.
Hasan Ali to miss the remainder of PSL due to ‘family concerns’
Islamabad United seamer Hasan Ali will not be part of the remainder of the PSL season in the UAE. He has returned to Pakistan due to ‘family concerns’.
‘I want to say to all Islamabad United fans, unfortunately, due to personal reasons I have to pull out of the remaining PSL matches,’ Hasan said in a statement.

Hasan was the joint third-highest wicket-taker in the tournament when he left, with 10 scalps at an economy rate of 5.83. Islamabad are currently sitting at second on the PSL points table, with four wins from six matches.
Mankad, 9 others inducted in ICC Hall of Fame
The ICC announced a special edition intake of 10 players into the Hall of Fame. The list includes Vinoo Mankad, a former India all-rounder. In 44 Tests, Mankad had scored 2,109 runs at 31.47 and claimed 162 wickets at 32.32.

The others are Aubrey Faulkner, Monty Noble, Sir Learie Constantine, Stan McCabe, Ted Dexter, Desmond Haynes, Bob Willis, Andy Flower and Kumar Sangakkara.
‘These 10 legends have all made a significant contribution to the history of Test cricket, and join an illustrious list of ICC Hall of Famers, taking the total number to 103 as a result of this intake,’ the ICC said in a statement.
Back at the hotel, have concussion with memory loss: Du Plessis
Faf du Plessis tweeted an update on his health after he concussed while playing for Quetta Gladiators against Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL on 12 June. Du Plessis was taken to an Abu Dhabi hospital after a collision with Quetta teammate Mohammad Hasnain.
