Finch set to replace Hales at Kolkata

Kolkata Knight Riders have announced Aaron finch as replacement for Alex Hales for the Indian Premier League 2022. Hales, who was bought by the franchise for INR 1.5 crores in the mega auction, earlier pulled out of the tournament citing bubble fatigue. Finch comes with the experience of 88 T20Is and is also the white-ball captain of Australia.

Kolkata Knight Riders will face Chennai Super Kings in the tournament-opener at Wankhede Stadium on 26 March.

Swepson to make his international debut in Rawalpindi

Mitchell Swepson is all set to make his Test debut in the second Test versus Pakistan in Karachi. He and Nathan Lyon will be the two main spinners, as Australia decided to drop Josh Hazlewood. The rest of the team remains unchanged. Swepson has 154 scalps in 51 First-class games, and has been with the national squad for quite some time now.

Malinga joins Rajasthan as fast-bowling coach

Lasith Malinga will be the fast-bowling coach of Rajasthan Royals for the Indian Premier League 2022. Malinga was with Mumbai Indians till last season. The Royals have also appointed Paddy Upton as the ''Team Catalyst". Upton earlier worked with the Royals from 2013 to 15 and 2019 as the head coach.

'It's a wonderful feeling for me to return to the IPL and an absolute honour to join Rajasthan Royals, a franchise that has always promoted and developed young talent,' stated Malinga.

South Africa beat Pakistan by 6 runs

South Africa beat Pakistan by six runs at Bay Oval in the ICC Women's ODI World Cup.

Laura Wolvaardt (75) and Sune Luus (62) helped South Africa reach 223/9 before Shabnim Ismail took three wickets to restrict Pakistan to 217. For Pakistan, Fatima Sana and Ghulam Fatima picked three wickets each, while Omaima Sohail scored and Nida Dar 55.
