Cottrell, Chase, Mayers tested positive for Covid-19

Kyle Mayers, Sheldon Cottrell, Roston Chase have been ruled out of the T20I series in Pakistan after testing positive for Covid-19. A non-coaching staff has also contracted the Coronavirus. All of them returned positive in the RT-PCR test conducted just after their arrival in Karachi. 

However, the series will go on as per the schedule. The first T20I of the three-match series will be played on Monday, 13 December.

Roy, Fakhar, Munro among platinum picks in PSL draft

Jason Roy, Tim David, Colin Munro and Fakhar Zaman were all picked in the platinum category in the draft for the forthcoming season of the Pakistan Super League.

Other than Roy, three other English cricketers – Liam Livingstone, James Vince and Chris Jordan – were platinum picks for the franchise. Vince and Roy will play for Quetta Gladiators, while Liam Livingstone for Peshawar Zalmi. The PSL 2022 will begin on 27 January.

Hazlewood likely to miss Adelaide Test: Report

As per reports in Fox Sports, Josh Hazlewood may miss the second Test match of the Ashes due to injury. He was seen on a flight to Sydney after the first Test match, in Brisbane. If Hazlewood does not recover in time, Jhye Richardson is likely to take his place. 

Australia won the first Test match by nine wickets. The second Test will be played in Adelaide from 16 December under lights.

Team India to fly to South Africa on 16 December

Having assembled in Mumbai on Sunday, the Indian contingent will fly to South Africa on 16 December. They will directly enter the biosecure bubble after reaching South Africa, and will continue to be there until the end of the tour. The first Test of the three-match series will be played in Centurion, from 26 December.
