South Africa were 102/2 at stumps on Day 3 of the third and final Test match against India, in Cape Town. They now need another 111 win the match and the series. Jasprit Bumrah had Dean Elgar (30) caught behind off the last ball of the day, but Keegan Petersen is still at the crease, on 48.
Earlier, Rishabh Pant hit an unbeaten 139-ball 100 to take India to 198 after they resumed the day at 57/2. Marco Jansen (4-36), Kagiso Rabada (3-53) and Lungi Ngidi (3-21) shared all 10 India wickets.
Rajapaksa withdraws retirement from international cricket

Dane van Niekerk to miss World Cup due to injury
South Africa captain Dane van Niekerk will miss the upcoming Women's World Cup after she slipped on a wet floor at home and broke her ankle. She is expected to be sidelined for up to 12 weeks.
From 107 ODIs, van Niekerk has 2,175 runs at 36.25 and has taken 138 wickets at 19.14.
The World Cup, to be held in New Zealand, begins on 4 March. South Africa will begin their campaign against Bangladesh a day later.
Gibson quits as Bangladesh fast-bowling coach
Ottis Gibson has decided not to renew his contract as the fast-bowling coach for Bangladesh. Gibson completed his two-year contract with the BCB this month, and is set to join Multan Sultans from the start of their PSL campaign, on 27 January as an assistant and fast bowling coach.
Gibson had replaced Charl Langeveldt as Bangladesh’s fast-bowling coach in 2020. His best achievement in this tenure came in Mount Maunganui earlier this month, when their fast bowlers took a record-breaking 13 wickets in the Test match to help Bangladesh pull off a historic win.
