India nine wickets away from win

India need nine wickets to complete a 2-0 sweep over Sri Lanka. On the second morning, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 109 in the first innings. Their last six batters lasted under an hour as Jasprit Bumrah finished his first five-wicket haul on home soil.

Rishabh Pant then scored the fastest Test match fifty by an Indian, off just 28 balls, while Shreyas Iyer (67) notched his second fifty of the game, as India declared on 303/9.

Asked to chase 447, Sri Lanka lost an early wicket in Lahiru Thirimanne, leg-before to Bumrah for a three-ball duck. Dimuth Karunaratne (10)  and Kusal Mendis (16) are currently at the crease.

Bonner, Holder help West Indies salvage a draw

Nkrumah Bonner and Jason Holder added an unbroken 80 for the fifth wicket as West Indies secured a draw against England in the first Test match, in England.

A triple-blow from Jack Leach left West Indies reeling at 67/4, and the English bowlers seemed capable of forcing a result. But Bonner and Holder managed to keep England at bay for over 35 overs. Earlier, Kraigg Brathwaite and John Campbell added 59 for the opening wicket.
