Bangladesh appoint Albie Morkel as power-hitting coach

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has roped in Albie Morkel as a power-hitting coach for their upcoming white-ball series in South Africa. The three-match ODI series will begin on 18 March. Morkel has served as an assistant coach for Namibia Men, and will join compatriot and fast bowling coach Allan Donald, and the head coach Russell Domingo.

"He will be with the ODI team for a week or so. He will help the batters. We will see how it goes, and then decide what happens afterwards,' said Jalal Yunus, the BCB's cricket operations chairman.

Pandya joins NCA camp in Bengaluru ahead of IPL 2022

Hardik Pandya has joined the National Cricket Academy (NCA) camp in Bengaluru ahead of the 2022 IPL. The camp has been summoned by the head coach Rahul Dravid, where all white-ball national regulars will be assessed and advised accordingly to keep themselves fresh for the ICC T20 World Cup.

'Yes, he has gone to Bangalore. He will be at the NCA for a few days before returning to Ahmedabad and quarantine,' said a source to Cricbuzz.

Shane Watson to join Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals have recruited Shane Watson as an assistant coach, along with Pravin Amre and Ajit Agarkar, for IPL 2022. The trio will join a coaching team headed by Ricky Ponting.

'I've got incredible memories as a player, and now coaching opportunities. It's come to be able to work under the great Ricky Ponting. He was an amazing leader as a captain, and now to be able to coach under him,' stated Watson.

Pakistan need 314 on Day 5 to win

Babar Azam (102*) and Abdullah Shafique (71*) added an unbroken 171 for the third wicket to drive Pakistan to 192/2 at the end of Day 4. They still need 314 runs to win, with eight wickets in hand.

This was an excellent recovery, after Nathan Lyon pinned Imam-ul-Haq pinned leg-before and Cam Green snared Azhar Ali to reduce Pakistan to 21/2.
