Rizwan joins Sussex for 2022 season
Mohammad Rizwan has signed a contract with Sussex for the summer of 2022. He will play in County Championship and T20 Blast. The club recently released Ben Brown upon his request.

Rizwan will keep the tradition of Pakistani cricketers alive at Sussex. Former greats include Imran Khan, Javed Miandad, and Mushtaq Ahmed.
Pakistan complete clean sweep
Pakistan registered a thrilling seven-wicket win against West Indies to complete a clean sweep of the three-match T20I series. They rode on an opening stand of 158 between Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam to chase 208 with seven balls remaining. Rizwan scored 87 off 45 deliveries, and Babar made 79 off 53. Asif Ali sealed the win with his 7-ball 21.
Earlier, Nicholas Pooran's 37-ball 64, along with the forties from Shamarh Brooks (49) and Brandon King (43), helped West Indies reach 207/3 in 20 overs.
Australia finish Day 1 on 221/2
Australia finished the opening day of the second Test match, at the Adelaide Oval, on 221/2, after Steven Smith won the toss and elected to bat first. Pat Cummins, the regular captain, was ruled out after coming in close contact with the COVID-19 patient.
At the crease are Marnus Labuschagne (95*) and Smith. Earlier, David Warner fell for 95. For England, Ben Stokes and Stuart Broad took a wicket apiece.
Pakistan-West Indies ODI series postponed
The ODI series between Pakistan and West Indies has been postponed to June 2022. On Thursday, 16 December, Akeal Hosein, Justin Greaves, Shai Hope, and two members of the support staff tested positive for Covid-19. However, the rest of the squad tested negative in the RT-PCR test, and the third T20I took place as usual.
