Luke Wright resigns as Sussex T20 captain
Luke Wright has resigned as Sussex T20 captain after leading them for seven years and 104 matches. Wright is the highest run-getter of the T20 Blast, and his side reached the final of the tournament last year.
'It has been a huge honour to captain Sussex, the club I love so much, however, I feel it is the right time to step down. I will continue to give my all to help Sussex as I have over so many years.' said Wright on his resignation.
Pakistan announce T20I and ODI squads for Australia series
Asif Afridi and Mohammad Haris earned maiden ODI call-ups as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) named a 20-member squad for the series against Australia. Mohammad Hasnain was dropped from both squads after his bowling action was deemed illegal earlier this year.

South Africa beat New Zealand by 2 wickets
South Africa defeated New Zealand by 2 wickets at Seddon Park in Hamilton after chasing 229 in 49.3 overs. Half-centuries from Laura Wolvaardt and Sune Luus kept them in the game before Marizanne Kapp's unbeaten 34 drove them across the target. Kapp also picked two wickets and was adjudged as Player of the Match. For New Zealand, Sophie Devine slammed 93 off 101 deliveries. Ayabonga Khaka and Shabnim Ismail claimed three wickets each.
South Africa announce Test squad for Bangladesh series
Cricket South Africa (CSA) named a 15-member squad for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh. Simon Harmer returned to the squad. If he gets into the playing XI, it will be his first Test appearance since 2015. South Africa will be without Marco Jansen, Lungi Ngidi, and Kagiso Rabada, as all of them will be playing in IPL 2022
