Australia climb to top of ICC Test rankings
With a 4-0 win in the 2021/22 Ashes, Australia leapfrogged New Zealand and India to claim the top spot in the ICC Test rankings. India, meanwhile, slipped to the third spot after losing 1-2 in South Africa. New Zealand retained their second spot, after playing a 1-1 draw at home against Bangladesh.

Australia beat England by nine wickets
Tahlia McGrath scored an unbeaten 91 after taking three wickets to drive Australia to a nine-wicket win in the first T20I of the Ashes. Australia chased down 170 in 17 overs. McGrath and Meg Lanning (64) added an unbeaten 144 for the second wicket.
Earlier, Danni Wyatt's 54-ball 70 propelled England to 169/4. Tammy Beaumont (30) and Nat Sciver (32) chipped in with valuable contributions.
Victor Chirwa suspended due to illegal action
Zimbabwe's Under-19 fast bowler Victor Chirwa has been suspended due to an illegal bowling action. He picked up two wickets in Zimbabwe's 228-run win over Papua New Guinea.
'Chirwa was reported by the match officials during Zimbabwe's match against Papua New Guinea on Saturday. Video footage of him bowling in the event was shared with the Event Panel for review,' the ICC said in the release.
Jamaica Tallawahs name Chanderpaul as head coach
Jamaica Tallawahs have appointed Shivnarine Chanderpaul as their head coach for the forthcoming edition of the Caribbean Premier League. He will succeed Floyd Reifer. Curtly Ambrose has been named as the bowling coach.
'Shivnarine has had an illustrious playing career and is one of the greats of the game. He has served West Indies cricket with distinction, and I know he will take the Tallawahs to new heights,' said Tallawahs owner Krishna Persaud.
