Anrich Nortje ruled out of the Test series
Anrich Nortje will miss the three-match Test series versus India due to a hip injury. Nortje is the leading wicket-taker for South Africa in 2021, claiming 25 wickets in five matches. His absence paved the way for Duanne Olivier, who is likely to lead the pace attack, along with Lungi Ngidi and Kagiso Rabada. The first Test will be played in Centurion, from 26 December.
Abid stable after complaining of chest pain
Abid Ali is currently stable and under constant supervision of the medical team. While batting in a match against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, he complained of chest pain and was immediately rushed to the hospital.
'Abid was taken immediately to a cardiac hospital where he was diagnosed as a case of Acute Coronary Syndrome. He is under the care of Consultant Cardiologist who is liaising with the PCB medical team regarding further treatment,' read the statement from PCB.
Australia confirm 15-member squad for third Ashes Test
Australia have added Scott Boland to the 15-member squad for the third Ashes Test. Boland took 15 wickets in two matches for Victoria in Sheffield Shield. Pat Cummins is back in the side as captain. Australia have already taken a decisive 2-0 lead in the series.

Rauf to play for Yorkshire
Yorkshire has signed Haris Rauf as their overseas player for 2022. Yorkshire CCC have an exchange programme with the Lahore Qalandars. The teams will face in a friendly game on 16 January in Lahore.
