South Africa beat India by seven wickets in the second ODI at Boland Park, Paarl to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. They chased down 288 in 48.1 overs, thanks to a 132-run stand between Quinton de Kock (78) and Janneman Malan (91).
Earlier, India rode on 71-ball 85 from Rishabh Pant to score 287. K.L. Rahul scored 55, but Virat Kohli fell for a five-ball duck.
Sri Lanka beat Zimbabwe, claim series
Sri Lanka beat Zimbabwe by 174 runs to win the series by 2-1. They scored 254/9 before bowling out Zimbabwe for just 70. Barring Takudzwanashe Kaitano and Ryan Burl, none of the Zimbabweans could reach the double figures. For Sri Lanka, Jeffrey Vandersay claimed 4-10, while Ramesh Mendis and Dushmantha Chameera picked two wickets apiece.
Charith Asalanka was adjudged Player of the Match for his half-century, while Pathum Nissanka was named Player of the Series.
BCCI rushes five players to the Under-19 squad
India are flying out Abhishek Porel, Uday Saharan, Rishith Reddy, Ansh Gosai, and P.M. Singh Rathore to the Caribbean as back-ups for their Under-19 side. Six Indian cricketers are under self-isolation, and they had to field all 11 available players in the last match against Ireland.
'The team management will take the final call if any of them will have to be included in the official squad,' a BCCI official told Cricbuzz.
Solanki to join Ahmedabad IPL franchise
Vikram Solanki is all set to join the Ahmedabad franchise as Director of Cricket for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. He has resigned as Surrey's head coach.
