Pakistan complete sweep against Bangladesh in T20Is

Pakistan beat Bangladesh by five wickets in the third T20I to complete a 3-0 series sweep at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur. A dramatic final over from Mahmudullah, in which he took three wickets, gave Bangladesh a slim hope before Mohammad Nawaz struck the last ball for four over extra cover to see off the 125-run target. Earlier, Mohammad Rizwan made a 43-ball 40 and Haider Ali a 38-ball 45.

For Bangladesh, Mohammad Naim (47 in 50 balls) top-scored in a total of 124/7. Mohammad Wasim was the pick of the Pakistan bowler, with 2-15.

Tamil Nadu beat Karnataka to retain SMAT title

Shahrukh Khan's unbeaten 15-ball 33, including a last-ball six, helped Tamil Nadu defend their Syed Mushtaq Trophy Ali Trophy. They beat Karnataka by four wickets in the final of the 2021/22 edition at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Riding on Shahrukh’s knock, Tamil Nadu chased 152 to hand Karnataka their first ever defeat in the final of the tournament. N. Jagadeesan also scored 41, but took 46 balls.

Earlier, R. Sai Kishore returned figures of 4-0-12-3 to restrict Karnataka to 151/7. Abhinav Manohar top-scored in this total, with 37-ball 46.

Sri Lanka lead West Indies by 273 in first innings

After bowling out Sri Lanka for 386 in the first innings, West Indies crawled to 113/6 at stumps on Day 2 in the first Test match, in Galle. All six wickets fell to Sri Lankan spinners, led by Ramesh Mendis. Kyle Mayers and Jason Holder are at the crease, on 22 and 1 respectively.

Earlier, Sri Lanka failed to get past 400 after Dimuth Karunaratne (147) set the tone on the opening day, courtesy Roston Chase’s 5-83 and Jomel Warrican’s 3-87.

Bangladesh announce squad for first Pakistan Test

Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Rejaur Rahman Raja have earned maiden call-ups to the Bangladesh squad for the first Test match against Pakistan, to be played in Chattogram from 26 November. Shakib Al Hasan has been named in the squad as well, but his fitness will be assessed before the match. He is still recovering from a hamstring injury that he suffered during the T20 World Cup last month.

They have left out Tamim Iqbal and Taskin Ahmed, who recently suffered an injury. Mominul Haque will lead the side, while Mushfiqur Rahim, Liton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who did not feature in the T20Is, have been included.
