Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by four wickets
Bangladesh rode on an unbroken 174-run stand between Afif Hossain and Mehidy Hasan Miraz to beat Afghanistan by six wickets in the first ODI. Asked to chase 216, Bangladesh were reduced to 28/5, the first four of which went to Fazalhaq Farooqi in his opening spell.
Afif (93) and Miraz (81) then guided Bangladesh to an improbable win. Earlier, for Afghanistan, Najibullah Zadran top-scored with 67.
Delhi Capitals appoints Ajit Agarkar as assistant coach
Delhi Capitals appointed Ajit Agarkar as an assistant coach for the 2022 IPL. Agarkar is the third assistant coach of the franchise, the other two being Shane Watson and Pravin Amre. He will work under the head coach Ricky Ponting.
'I am very excited to be part of Delhi Capitals squad for this season,' said Agarkar. 'I have been lucky enough to be a player and to be returning in a different capacity. It's obviously very exciting. We have a young and terrific squad led by one of the most talented players in the world – Rishabh Pant. And the coach Ricky Ponting has been a legend of the game.'
West Indies announce squad for first England Test
Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced a 13-member squad for the first Test match against England, to be played in Antigua from 8 March. Shannon Gabriel will miss this game due to a hamstring injury. Roston Chase, Shai Hope, and Jomel Warrican failed to make a cut, while John Campbell and Anderson Phillip have been included.

Netherlands announce squad for New Zealand tour
The Netherlands have confirmed a 15-member squad for an upcoming tour to New Zealand. Shariz Ahmed, Vikramjit Singh and Aryan Dutt received maiden call-ups, while Stephan Myburgh and Max O'Dowd returned to the side after missing the ODIs against Afghanistan.
