Perry ruled out of Bangladesh game

Australia will miss Ellyse Perry for their last league game of the ICC Women's World Cup, against Bangladesh. Perry sustained back spasms while fielding during Australia's game against South Africa. At the same time, Kate Beerworth, the team physiotherapist, expects Perry to be back for the semi-final.

Australia, still unbeaten in the tournament, are likely to rest some big names for the match against Bangladesh.

Moeen joins Chennai Super Kings' camp

After weeks of uncertainty, Moeen Ali finally got his visa approval from the Indian High Commission in England. He has already joined the Chennai Super Kings camp on 24 March. However, he will not be available for Chennai's match against Kolkata Knight Riders, which will mark the beginning of Indian Premier League 2022. 

'He will not be available for the first game against Kolkata Knight Riders but we are happy that all the uncertainty has ended,' said Kashi Vishwanathan, the franchise CEO.

Jadeja becomes the new CSK captain

Ravindra Jadeja will be the new captain of Chennai Super Kings, as confirmed by the franchise. Jadeja will be the third player to lead Chennai, after M.S. Dhoni and Suresh Raina. Jadeja joined them back in 2012, and was retained for the highest sum ahead of the mega-auction. 

'MS Dhoni has decided to hand over the leadership of Chennai Super Kings and picked Ravindra Jadeja to lead the team. Jadeja, who has been an integral part of Chennai Super Kings since 2012, will only be the third player to lead CSK. Dhoni will continue to represent Chennai Super Kings this season and beyond,' read a statement from CSK.

Pakistan need 278 runs on Day 5 to win

Imam-ul-Haq (42*) and Abdullah Shafique (27*) added 73 for the opening stand to lay a solid foundation for Pakistan by the end of Day 4 of the third Test against Australia. They now need 278 to win, with all 10 wickets intact.

Earlier, Usman Khawaja's unbeaten 104 and David Warner's 51 propelled Australia to 227/3 before Pat Cummins declared the innings.
