India add Agarwal to T20I squad for Sri Lanka series

Ruturaj Gaikwad has been ruled out of the forthcoming matches of the T20I series against Sri Lanka due to a wrist injury. The BCCI has named Mayank Agarwal as his replacement. Since Agarwal was already in quarantine with the Test squad, he can join the T20I squad in Dharamsala and start playing straight away. India are already without Deepak Chahar and Suryakumar Yadav.

Sri Lanka name squad for India Tests

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) named an 18-member squad for the upcoming Test series versus India. The first Test match will begin on 4 March, in Mohali. Jeffrey Vandersay received a maiden call-up and Niroshan Dickwella returned to the squad, but the inclusion of Kusal Mendis is subject to fitness. This will be Suranga Lakmal's last Test series.

New format for IPL 2022 announced

IPL 2022 will have ten teams pooled in two groups. Each team will play five teams twice and the remaining four teams once.

Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants are in Group A, while Chennai Super Kings, Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Gujarat Titans make up Group B.

Bangladesh win series against Afghanistan

Bangladesh took an unassailable 2-0 lead with an 88-run win over Afghanistan in the second ODI. They rode on Liton Das' 136 (16 fours, two sixes) and Mushfiqur Rahim's 86 to post 306/4. In reply, Afghanistan were bowled out for 218, despite fifties from Rahmat Shah (52) and Najibullah Zadran (54).
