Chapman tests positive for Covid-19
Mark Chapman has tested positive for Covid-19 and has been isolated from the rest of the New Zealand squad as they prepare to take on the Netherlands in the ODI series. New Zealand head coach Garry Stead confirmed George Worker as a replacement.
'It's really unfortunate for Mark and we're all really feeling for him at this time. He did the right thing by following the health guidelines and getting tested when he did,' said Stead.
India crash out of ICC Women's ODI World Cup
India lost a must-win game against South Africa to crash out of ICC Women's World Cup 2022. Laura Wolvaardt (80) and Mignon du Preez (52*) them South Africa chase 275 off the last ball of the match. Earlier, India rode on fifties from Shafali Verma, Smriti Mandhana, and Mithali Raj to reach 274.
India's defeat paved way for the West Indies, who will play Australia in the semi-finals, while South Africa will face England.
West Indies beat England by ten wickets
Kyle Mayers' 5-18 and Joshua Da Silva's 100 not out drove West Indies to a 10-wicket against England in the third and final Test match. England were bowled out for 120, leaving West Indies with just 28 to win the series. Kraigg Brathwaite and John Campbell completed the chase in 4.5 overs.
With this win, West Indies claimed the series 1-0 and moved to seventh place in the points table of ICC World Test Championship 2021-23.
Delhi Capitals beat Mumbai Indians by four wickets
Lalit Yadav and Axar Patel added 75 for the sixth wicket to propel Delhi Capitals to a four-wicket win against Mumbai Indians. Patel struck three sixes in his 17-ball 38, and Lalit remained unbeaten on 48, as the Capitals chased down 178 in 18.2 overs. Kuldeep Yadav was adjudged Player of the Match for his three wickets. For Mumbai Indians, Ishan Kishan made an unbeaten 48-ball 81.
