Australia win 2022 Women's ODI World Cup
Australia beat England by 71 runs in the final of the ICC Women's World Cup 2022. They rode on Alyssa Healy's 170 and fifties from Rachael Haynes and Beth Mooney to post 356/5 in 50 overs. Healy was adjudged both the Player of the Match and the Player of the Series.
For England, Nat Sciver scored an unbeaten 148 as wickets fell around her. Lack of support at the other end did not help their cause.
Taskin, Shoriful ruled out of second Test vs South Africa
Taskin Ahmed sustained a shoulder injury during the ongoing Durban Test match, while Shoriful Islam is undergoing rehab for Grade 1 ankle impingement syndrome. Both men will miss the second Test.
'Taskin had complained of right shoulder pain and difficulty of movement during the second day's play in the first Test. He has received physiotherapy, supportive taping and painkillers for bowling in the second innings. His recovery is expected to take around three weeks,' said Bangladesh Team physio Bayjedul Islam.
Rajat Patidar replaces Luvnith Sisodia for RCB
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) replaced the injured Luvnith Sisodia with Rajat Patidar for Indian Premier League 2022. Patidar was with RCB last season before he was released and went unsold in the auction. RCB acquired Patidar at his base price of INR 20 lakhs. He has played 31 T20s and amassed 861 runs.
Punjab beat Chennai by 54 runs
Punjab Kings handed Chennai Super Kings their third successive defeat of IPL 2022. Chasing 181, Chennai were bowled out for 126. Rahul Chahar (3-25) was the pick of the Punjab bowlers.
Earlier, Punjab lost two wickets inside two overs, but that did not prevent Liam Livingstone from slamming 60 in 32 balls. Livingstone then picked up two wickets and held two catches as well.
