Hardik, Wriddhiman demoted to Grade C, more
Hardik Pandya and Wriddhiman Saha have been demoted to Grade C as the BCCI announced annual retainership contracts for 27 players. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah are only three players in the Grade A+ category, which will earn them INR 7 crores per year.
Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, and Ishant Sharma have been downgraded from Grade A to Grade B, while Rishabh Pant, R. Ashwin, and K.L. Rahul have retained their Grade A contracts.
India to play five T20Is versus South Africa
India will host South Africa for five-match T20I series after the conclusion of the 2022 Indian Premier League. The series will last from 9 to 19 June. The series is a part of the Future Tour Programme (FTP).
Following that, India will tour England for a multi-format assignment and will then head to Australia for ICC T20 World Cup in 2022.
Shakib, Tamim back for South Africa Tests
Shakib Al Hasan has been included in the Bangladesh squad for the two-match Test series in South Africa later this month. Shakib had earlier indicated that he might miss the Tests, but made himself available for selection after he went unsold in the IPL 2022 mega auctions. Tamim Iqbal is also back in the side, and will lead them in the ODI series.

BCCI appoints Abey Kuruvilla as General manager
The Board of Control for Cricket in India have appointed Abey Kuruvilla as the new General Manager, as per an ANI report.
Kuruvilla will succeed Dhiraj Malhotra, who recently stepped down from the role. Kuruvilla played 10 Test matches and 25 ODIs for India, all of them in 1997, and was the committee member of the national selection panel.
