India finished Day 2 at Johannesburg on 85/2, with a lead of 58 runs over South Africa. Cheteshwar Pujara struck seven fours in his unbeaten 42-ball 35, while Ajinkya Rahane is batting on 11 after Duanne Olivier and Marco Jansen picked a wicket apiece.
Earlier, Shardul Thakur's 7-61 – the best figures by an Indian against South Africa – helped bowl out the hosts for 229. Keegan Petersen's 62 was the highest score of the innings.
Ireland appoint Heinrich Malan head coach
Ireland has roped in Heinrich Malan head coach for their Men's senior team. He will replace Graham Ford. Malan comes with an experience of over a decade, and he is also the head coach of Auckland Aces.

Ratnayake roped in as interim coach
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has appointed Rumesh Ratnayake as interim head coach for their upcoming series against Zimbabwe. Ratnayake played 23 Tests and 70 ODIs before retiring in 1993. Ruvin Peiris has been roped in as batting coach. The three-match ODI series begins on 16 January.
'Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to announce the appointment of Rumesh Ratnayake as the interim coach of the National Team for the upcoming Zimbabwe tour of Sri Lanka,' SLC said in a statement.
