India tour of West Indies to begin on 22 July

India's tour to the Caribbean, featuring three ODIs and five T20Is, will start on 22 July. Queens Park Oval, Trinidad will host the three ODIs, while Brian Charles Lara Stadium will host the opening game of the T20I series. The next two T20Is will be played at Warner Park before both teams move to the USA for the last two games.

'Those are the dates and the schedule will be announced once the clearance from the US comes. We are waiting for the sanctioning from the US,' a top CWI official told Cricbuzz

Archer likely to return in T20 Blast

Jofra Archer is planning a comeback to top-level cricket in T20 Blast 2022. He also hopes to be available for Sussex's first game, against Glamorgan. Archer has undergone four surgeries in just over a year, with his last appearance coming against India in T20 last year.

'In a situation like this, when you are forced to have operations, you do think about whether you are going to play cricket again, whether you're going to play all formats even,' Archer wrote in his Daily Mail column. 'But the ECB gave me the assurance and peace of mind that they wanted me around for a long time.'

Rilee Rossouw signs for Somerset for T20 Blast

Rilee Rossouw has joined Somerset for the 2022 edition of the T20 Blast. He is the fourth overseas signee for the Somerset, after Matt Renshaw, Peter Siddle and Marchant de Lange.

"We felt that adding additional explosive firepower to the batting unit would dovetail perfectly with the very strong group of players within the squad and also enhance our ability to go one step further this season," said Andy Hurry, director of cricket.

Mumbai beat Gujarat by 5 runs

Mumbai Indians beat Gujarat Titans by five runs in Match 51 of the Indian Premier League 2022 at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

Fifties from Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha went in vain as Gujarat could only manage 172/5 while chasing 178. After Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma provided Mumbai with a fiery start, Tim David added the finishing touch with a quickfire 44.
