Cricket's Asian Games return delayed

Cricket's return to Asian Games will be delayed by a year as the tournament is postponed to 2023. The 19th edition of the tournament was supposed to be played in Hangzhou from 19 September, but has to be postponed due to rising cases of COVID-19.

"Following detailed discussions with the Chinese Olympic Committee (COC) and the Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (HAGOC), the OCA Executive Board (EB) today decided to postpone the 19th Asian Games, which were scheduled to be held in Hangzhou, China, from 10 to 25 September 2022," the OCA said in a statement.

Khaled Mahmud slams Mustafizur for missing Test 

Khaled Mahmud, the director of cricket at Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has slammed Mustafizur Rahman for his unavailability in the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka. Mustafizur is currently with Delhi Capitals in IPL. 

'Would it be okay if (Mahmudul Hasan) Joy said that he doesn't want to play Tests? How old is Mustafiz? How long has he been playing for? He is not Shakib, Tamim, Mashrafe or Mushfiq,' said Mahmud. 

Rajasthan beat Punjab by 6 wickets

Rajasthan Royals beat Punjab Kings by six wickets in Match 52 of IPL 2022 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Rajasthan chased down 190 in 19.4 overs, thanks Yashasvi Jaiswal, who made 68 in 41 balls upon his return to the team. Shimron Hetmyer took Rajasthan across the line with an unbeaten 16-ball 31. For Punjab, Jonny Bairstow top-scored with 51. 

Lucknow beat Kolkata by 75 runs

Kolkata Knight Riders lost to Lucknow Super Giants by 75 runs in Match 53 of Indian Premier League 2022.

Chasing 177, Kolkata were bowled out for 101. Barring Andre Russell, who made 45, none of the Kolkata batters scored anything substantial as Jason Holder and Avesh Khan took three wickets apiece. For Lucknow, Quinton de Kock scored 51 and forged a 73-run stand with Deepak Hooda. Marcus Stoinis added the finishing touch wuth three quick sixes.
