Pakistan complete 2-0 sweep against Bangladesh
Sajid Khan took 8-42 and 4-86 to help Pakistan beat Bangladesh by an innings and eight runs in the second Test match and sweep the two-match series 2-0 in Mirpur. The win kept Pakistan at second place in the World Test Championship points table, taking their win percentage to 75%. Bangladesh, on the other hand, are at the bottom, with two defeats in two games.
Bangladesh, resuming the final day on 76/7, were skittled out for 87 in the first innings. Babar Azam then enforced the follow-on, and Pakistan bowled out Bangladesh again on 205 on the final session of the day.
Australia dominate Day 1 of the Ashes
Australia dominated England on Day 1 of the first Ashes Test match at the Gabba before rain washed out the final session. They knocked over England for 147 in 50.1 overs, courtesy Pat Cummins’ 5-38, Mitchell Starc’s 2-35 and Josh Hazlewood’s 2-42. Cam Green claimed the other wicket. Jos Buttler top-scored for England, with 39.
India announce Test squad for South Africa Tests; Rohit named ODI captain
Rohit Sharma was named India's full-time ODI captain while India announced their 18-member Test squad for their upcoming tour of South Africa, on 8 December. Rohit will replace Virat Kohli, who stepped down as T20I captain after the Men's T20 World Cup. He will now become India’s full-time limited-overs captain.
Rohit was also named vice-captain of the India Test squad, replacing Ajinkya Rahane in the post.

Afghanistan to host the Netherlands in three ODIs
Afghanistan and Netherlands will clash in a three-match ODI series in Qatar in January. The three matches are scheduled for 21, 23 and 25 January at the Asian Town Cricket Stadium in Doha, Qatar.
The series will be part of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League, where the top eight teams will directly qualify for the 2023 Men's World Cup.
